I read with interest the NY Times article "Can You Frisk a Hard Drive" (The New York Times, by David Shipler, February 19, 2011) about how actual computers are subject to searches when traveling now. This is yet another way our SureDesk™ service and having a virtual office can help speed up travel. I'm not sure where I come down on the 4th amendment debate about whether searches of computers should be allowed or not as part of inspectors trying to weed out potential terrorists. I do know that with all files on the SureDesk™ the computer itself is not so important and certainly doesn't have many files to look through on the machine itself. Business travelers concerned about sensitive files being viewed would certainly be protected.
