Dear SureMail Customers,

 

We are writing to give a further update on the "Undeliverable Message" alerts some of you many be experiencing today.

 

We have determined that some outbound emails were affected by an intermittent gateway issue between Friday, December 11 at 3:43 pm ET and Monday, December 14 at 4:26 pm ET. 

 

 

Our exchange team had originally believed that the messages affected were delayed but would be successfully sent when the issue was resolved.

 

We now have identified that the gateway did not allow the delayed messages to send successfully. 

 

Fortunately for any messages that were affected by this issue, you will receive "Message Undeliverable" notices in your inbox.  This allows you to know exactly which messages were affected by this issue and were not delivered.

 

We recommend that you go to your Sent Items folder and resend any messages that receive this Message Undeliverable alert so they can be successfully delivered.

 

Our exchange administrators are researching the root cause to ensure that such an issue can be diagnosed and addressed more efficiently in the future.
