How to Uninstall a Microsoft Update 

Follow steps below to uninstall the broken update KB3163017 OR KB3163018 on Windows 10 or KB3159398 on Windows 7.   

Windows 10

1. Open Settings

2. Navigate to Update & Security

 3. Click Window Update

3. Select Advanced Options 

 5. Go to View Your Update History                                                                                                                         

6. Click Uninstall Updates 

7. Select the update you want to remove:  Look for KB3163017 OR KB3163018

8. Click the Uninstall button

9. Click Yes

Then restart your computer.

Windows 7

1. Click the Start button  

2. Click Control Panel 

3. Go to Programs and Features                                                                                                          

4. Click View Installed Updates                                                                                                           

5. Select the update that you want to remove:  Look for KB3159398

6. Click the Uninstall button                                                                                                                 

7. Click Yes to UnInstall

8. Restart Your Computer
